Rome main airport (Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino - FCO) is about 35 km south-west of the city centre. At Fiumicino there are 4 terminals one of which, Terminal T5,for only departure USA flights. The handsome new Terminal A is for domestic flights. Terminal B, a light and airy place, has a dual role handlng international and a number of domestic services. Terminal C looks after major international flights and is connected to Satellite C, a mini-terminal in its own right with a full range of shopping, restaurants, bars and other services.

Ciampino airport is a smaller airport, about 20 km south-east of the city, it is becoming popular with discount airlines like RyanAir.-EasyJet

Getting to Rome -

Rome has two major airports: Fiumicino and CiampinoRome Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport

Leonardo Train Exspress
Rome's main airport is well-connected to the center during the day by a direct train and slower trains. The direct train between Fiumicino and Termini costs € 11,00 and takes approximately 50 minutes. It leaves every 30 min. from Airport and arrives at track 26 at Rome centre Termini (the main train station). No night service from 23.00

Ciampino Airport

A smaller airport charter flights

Is especially used by budget airlines, charter companies, and military traffic.Rome's Ciampino is actually amongst Italy's busiest and most important airport, and has recently been expanded to cope with increased traffic created by its budget, 'no-frills' airlines.

It is connected to Line A metro station Anagnina (about 40 mins) by Cotral buses; ticket costs € 1. Buses leave every half hour.

Tiket for metro(subway) is 1 Euro-75 minutes
