recommend: if there is a long line at the entrance to colloseum go and bay ticket at the Palatino entrance(on right side 100meters after the Arch of Costantino)then go back to visit colosseum.

Getting to Rome

Rome has two major airports: Fiumicino and CiampinoRome Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport
Rome's main airport is well-connected to the center during the day by a direct train and slower trains. The direct train between Fiumicino and Termini costs € 11,00 and takes approximately 50 minutes. It leaves from and arrives at track 26 at Termini (the main train station).

Rome Ciampino Airport
A smaller airport dealing mainly with charter flights and budget airlines. It is connected to Line A metro station Anagnina (about 35 mins by metro from Termini) by Cotral buses; ticket costs € 1. Buses leave every half hour.
